siding in
flathead valley

Full siding replacement and repair by experienced Titan crews. Built for Montana weather. Done by the same crew that handles your roof — coordinated, sealed, and done right.

siding does

more than

look good

Your siding is your home's first line of defense against weather. Done right, it keeps water out, helps with energy efficiency, and protects the structural sheathing underneath. Done wrong — or left to rot — it lets water into your walls, drives up your heating bill, and slowly destroys your home.

In Flathead Valley, siding takes a beating. Heavy snow against the lower walls, ice damage at corners, UV from intense summer sun, freeze-thaw cycles every spring. The siding that came on your home 20 years ago may not be cutting it anymore.

We replace and repair siding alongside roofing — and we coordinate the two so flashing, transitions, and details work the way they're supposed to.

Siding Options We Install

We don't try to sell you the most expensive option. We tell you what works for your home, your budget, and the look you want. Here's what we install most:

Vinyl Siding

The most popular and affordable option. Modern vinyl is far better than what it used to be — better colors, better durability, no painting required.

  • Budget-friendly

  • Low maintenance — no painting, easy to clean

  • Wide range of colors and styles (clapboard, Dutch lap, vertical, shake-look)

  • Insulated vinyl options for better energy efficiency

  • 25+ year manufacturer warranties on quality lines

LP SmartSide / Engineered Wood

Great middle-ground option. Looks like real wood but engineered to handle moisture, insects, and impact better than traditional cedar or pine.

  • Authentic wood look

  • Better durability than natural wood

  • Can be painted any color

  • Holds up well to Montana weather

  • 50-year limited warranty from manufacturer

Fiber Cement (James Hardie)

The premium option. Cement-based siding that handles weather extremes better than almost anything. Looks like wood, lasts like stone.

  • Extremely durable — handles fire, impact, rot, insects

  • Holds paint for decades

  • Best resale value impact

  • Higher up-front cost but lowest long-term cost

  • 30-year material warranty

Cedar Siding

Classic Montana look. Beautiful when maintained, but needs regular care.

  • Authentic mountain/cabin aesthetic

  • Natural insulator

  • Requires staining or sealing every 3-5 years

  • Premium pricing

  • Best for homes where the look really matters and the owner will keep up with maintenance

metal siding

Gaining popularity in Montana for modern and mountain-modern home styles. Pairs well with a metal roof.

  • Extremely durable

  • Fire-resistant

  • Minimal maintenance

  • Modern aesthetic

  • Higher cost, premium look

how a titan siding install works

free Estimate

We come out, walk the whole house, and tell you what we see. Sometimes you need full replacement. Sometimes you need partial replacement (just the south or west-facing walls that take the worst weather). We'll tell you straight.

Tear-Off & Sheathing Inspection

Full tear-off of the existing siding. We inspect the sheathing underneath — every square foot. Any rotten or water-damaged sheathing gets replaced before we put new siding up. This is the step most contractors skip. We don't.

 House Wrap & Vapor Barrier

Proper house wrap installed across the whole surface. Taped seams, proper overlap, proper integration with windows and doors. This is what actually keeps water out.

Flashing Around Penetrations

Windows, doors, vents, electrical, plumbing — every penetration gets proper flashing. Bad flashing is the #1 reason siding fails. We do it right.

Siding Installation

Installed per manufacturer spec. Proper fastener spacing, proper overlap, proper expansion gaps (critical in Montana — siding moves with temperature). Cut clean around windows and trim.

Trim, Corners & Details

The details that separate amateur work from professional work. Tight corners. Clean trim. Proper J-channel. Caulking where it should be, no caulking where it shouldn't.

Final Cleanup & Walkthrough

All debris hauled off. Magnetic sweep for fasteners. Walk-through with you. Warranty paperwork delivered.

Doing a Roof? Consider Bundling Your Siding.

Roof, siding, and gutters all meet at the same critical points —

fascia, soffit, edge flashing, the transitions where most water problems start.

When the same crew does all three at the same time:

Flashing between roof, siding, and gutters works the way it should

You only deal with one contractor, one schedule, one warranty

Labor costs go down because we're already on-site

Job is finished in days instead of weeks of multiple crews

Most of our biggest, most satisfied customers do all three at once. Ask about bundle pricing during your estimate.

Siding Repair

Not every siding job needs a full replacement.

We also handle:

Storm damage repair — wind-torn, hail-impacted, or branch-damaged panels

Animal damage — woodpeckers, raccoons, squirrels

Water damage and rot from failed flashing

Cracked or broken vinyl panels

Color-fade replacement on a single wall

Caulking and sealant repair

For most siding repairs, we can be out within the week. If you've got a piece of siding hanging loose or water actively getting in, call us right away.

Our Siding Warranty

Titan Roofing 10-Year Workmanship Warranty on full siding installations.

If siding we installed fails because of how it was installed — comes loose,

leaks at a seam we caulked, gaps where there shouldn't be — we come back

and fix it. For 10 years.

The siding material itself carries the manufacturer's warranty

(varies by product — 25 to 50 years depending on what you choose).

Common Questions About Siding

How long does a full siding job take?

Most homes are a 5-10 day job. Larger homes or detailed jobs (cedar, premium fiber cement) can take 2 weeks. We'll give you an exact timeline at the estimate.

Can I live in the house during siding installation?

Yes. We tear off and replace one section at a time so your home stays sealed up at the end of each day. There's some noise during the work day, but nothing that prevents you from living there.

Will my windows and doors need to come out?

Not in most cases. We work around existing windows and doors, replacing the flashing around them. If your windows are due for replacement, this is actually a good time to coordinate — but it's not required.

How much does siding cost?

Varies a lot based on material, home size, and complexity. Vinyl is the lowest cost option, LP SmartSide is mid-range, fiber cement is premium, and cedar is premium plus ongoing maintenance cost. We'll give you a real number after measuring your home and confirming the material you want.

Can siding really save me money on energy bills?

Yes — if your current siding is old and uninsulated. Modern siding (especially insulated vinyl or fiber cement over proper house wrap) can reduce heating bills noticeably in Flathead Valley winters. The savings won't pay for the siding by themselves, but they help.
